How to become a student

Foreign citizens wishing to apply for study at Grodno State Agrarian University must receive an invitation from the University that will allow him/her to apply for study visa at the Embassy/Consular Department of the Republic of Belarus.

To receive an official invitation, you must provide the following documents:

  • Copy of ID- passport
  • Certificate of Secondary Complete General Education or Diploma of Higher Education with the transcript of records, subjects and marks (credits);
  • Medical Certificate issued by the Health care authorities of the Applicant’s country origin.
  • HIV-Certificate issued by the Health care authorities of the Applicant’s country origin.
  • Certificate of birth
  • Notarized translations into Russian of the above listed documents.
  • APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION (please, fill in printed form)

After receiving the documents, the University makes the decision on possibility of processing of an invitation for a foreign citizen.

Ready-made invitation gives the opportunity to apply for study visa at the Embassy/Consular institution of the Republic of Belarus at the place of residence of a foreign citizen or in Minsk airport upon arrival in Belarus (if there is no Consular of the Republic of Belarus), where he will be met by the representative of the University.

A foreign citizen must inform the university about the date of arrival in Belarus by writing a letter with ticket copy attached to the email address (1 week before the arrival) This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Immediately after arrival in Grodno, the foreign citizen should contact the International Relations Office at the address Grodno, Tereshkova Street 28, floor 3, room 54 and submit the following documents:

  • Passport with study visa
  • Certificate of Secondary Complete General Education Diploma of Higher Education with the transcript of records, subjects and marks (credits);
  • Medical Certificate issued by the Health care authorities of the Applicant’s country origin.
  • HIV-Certificate issued by the Health care authorities of the Applicant’s country origin.
  • Certificate of birth
  • Notarized Russian translations of the above listed documents.
  • Medical insurance for one year (except for the citizens of Russian Federation, Turkmenistan, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, Ukraine)
  • 8 photos (4x6 in size)

Upon arrival at the university a foreign citizen fills in the following documents:

  • statement of admission indicating the specialty
  • agreement for study
  • agreement for accommodation

Within 1-2 weeks after arrival a foreign citizen must undergo a medical examination in one of Grodno medical clinic and to provide an official medical health care certificate to the University.

After providing all required documents and tuition fee payment, foreign citizen become a student of Grodno State Agrarian University according to an issued order of admission.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Approximate administrative costs for admission to the University:

  1. Temporary registration in the Republic of Belarus during study period – 100$ per year.
  2. Medical insurance – 200-230$ per year
  3. Compulsory medical examination – 100-150$
  4. Notarial certification of the passport translation into Russian language – 30$
    5. Hostel fee - 35-40$ per month
  5. Exit-enter visa (if necessary) – 40$
  6. Exit visa (to leave the country after graduation) – 30$
