Information seminar for foreign students "On some issues of migration legislation of the Republic of Belarus"

On February 16, Grodno State Agrarian University held an information seminar for foreign students "On some issues of migration legislation of the Republic of Belarus". An important aspect of educational work at the university is interaction with the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Internal Affairs Department of Grodno in terms of holding meetings with students dedicated to the prevention of offenses. The February seminar was attended by the inspector of the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Internal Affairs Department of the Oktyabrsky District Administration of Grodno Chernyak Olga Ivanovna.

Legal education issues are always relevant for foreign citizens. The 3rd and 4th year students of the University were invited to the meeting. During the seminar, the main points of the migration legislation of the Republic of Belarus were explained to foreign students: the need for mandatory registration of foreign citizens; issues of documenting the change of residence; short-term travel to the country of citizenship; some aspects of obtaining visas. Foreign students were also interested in the issue of employment opportunities in their free time. Olga Ivanovna drew the attention of the foreign citizens present at the meeting to the rules of conduct in public places during the upcoming holidays.

Chernyak Olga Ivanovna called on students to comply with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus and also explained, through specific examples, the consequences that occur in the event of intentional or unintentional violation of the law.

Foreign students of our university who were present at the meeting were interested in the information provided, asked questions to the representative of the Citizenship and Migration Department, from whom they received competent and informative answers.

The head of the department of the state employment service Mitsura Nelly Yurievna also attended the meeting and answered numerous questions from students.

The head of the International Relations Department reminded foreign students of the University that if they have any questions or problems, they can always ask for help both in the International relations department and in their dean's office, where they will always be happy to help.

Holding information seminars of this kind is designed to help reduce offenses among foreign students.
